SmartSelf Initial Income Calculator
Newrez LLC "Newrez" Approved Correspondent Clients; Newrez is pleased to announce an enhancement to our SmartSelf Initial Income Calculation Process effective for loans registered on or after January 16, 2026.
- Once the file is registered as a SmartSelf loan it will appear in SmartSelf Loan Pipeline, called “SmartSelf Income Review.” The link is located on the Left navigation on the home page. The SmartSelf Income Review section of the website will contain the required information to submit a request, including a link for the direct upload of Bank Statements (12 or 24 months). The Smart Self Submission form will no longer be a requirement
- A tracking Ticket number will be generated, and the Pipeline will be updated accordingly.
- Newrez will calculate the income and notify the client (Via Email) when complete.
- Upon notification, Log into Newrez Image central/View Images and review the Income Calculation worksheet found under the Income Index- Loan Income Worksheet.
- Enter the income on your application and use it to determine DTI
- Include the Income Calculation Worksheet when submitting the credit package for underwriting. Please note that the calculations expire after 90 days.
