Bulletin 2025-017 BorrowSmart Home Possible Low-Income Purchase (LIP) Program Extended

Newrez LLC "Newrez" Approved Correspondent Clients; Freddie Mac has extended the BorrowSmart Home Possible Low-Income Purchase (LIP) Program for Settlements through December 31, 2025.

Newrez will communicate later in the year as to the purchase by date requirements.

Once qualified, the program connects the borrower(s) with a Financial Wellness Expert with the Homeownership Preservation Foundation (HPF) conducted by GreenPath. You can refer the borrower to call or provide a warm transfer to 1-888-776-6652 which is specific to Newrez to obtain an eligibility certificate
