NewRez published Announcement 2019-026 on April 19, 2019, which temporarily suspended the origination and purchase of new FHA loans that include any down payment assistance from state or local government programs.
Update on suspensions
This suspension applied to loans with case numbers issued on or after April 18, 2019.
Effective immediately, NewRez will reinstate the origination and purchase of loans with case numbers assigned on or after April 18, 2019, unless it has been determined that a program does not meet the applicable requirements of Mortgagee Letter 19-06 or a program has specifically suspended FHA registrations.
At the present time the following program(s) have indicated their suspension of FHA loans:
- Nevada Rural Housing Agency
