Newrez LLC "Newrez" Approved Correspondent Clients, Newrez is announcing changes to the Agency and FHA Guidelines effective immediately.

Overview of Guideline Updates

Newrez is excited to announce a significant change to the Conventional/Conforming Agency Guidelines. Effective immediately, users will now directly access the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Guidelines through their respective GSE websites. 


The FHA Handbook 4000.1 is designated as the new primary source for all FHA underwriting guidelines. 
Product summaries and overlay matrices will continue to be maintained to provide details on eligibility and overlays, ensuring comprehensive guidance for underwriting processes. A link to the GSE Guidelines and the 4000.1 Handbook have been added to all product summaries and overlay matrices for quick access to the guidelines.


Continuation of VA and USDA Guidelines


VA and USDA Newrez guidelines will remain in use as sources for underwriting guidelines. These, along with the product summaries and overlay matrices, will continue to support underwriting decisions.
